There’s only a little over a week left until we begin the Grand Opening festivities for our newest space in downtown Manchester. Things are coming together nicely and we are super excited about what’s in store!
Here’s a little preview of what you can look forward to:
Our monthly Thursday Night Throwdown latte art competition will kick off the grand opening festivities. The event will be Thursday, September 11. Door open at 8 p.m. and the competition starts at 9 p.m. It costs $5 to participate and proceeds will benefit the Manchester Fire Department. So swing by 100 Elm Street to be a part of this exciting event!
Aerial Circus Demonstration
Heather Murphy from Go Ninja Circus Arts in Manchester will be “hanging around” on aerial silks (think Cirque du Soleil) on Friday afternoon from 12 to 2. Heather will astound and amaze, defy gravity and physics and make it all look easy!
Manchester local, Jason Debow is this month’s featured artist in the Manchester café. We’ll have a reception with the artist on Friday, September 12 at 6 p.m.
Slam Free or Die will be hosting both a poetry workshop with special guest, Derrick Brown on Saturday, September 13 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. followed by a poetry slam competition with cash prizes Saturday, September 13 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
The week will see performances by A&E baristas, Sam Delay and Ashley Turner, as well as musicians such as Chris Cavanaugh and Badfellows. Keep an eye out for the official schedule coming later in the week!
Classes and Demos
A&E will be hosting tea and coffee tastings and a Brew Methods class, providing instruction and education on the various ways to brew coffee.
We hope to see ya’ll there!
