If you aren’t one to keep an eye on the talent being incubated at the New Hampshire Institute of Art in Manchester, you really should. They collect the most talented of New Hampshire and regional artists and hone their skills within a community of knowledgeable instructors. This month in the café we celebrate the beauty of home-grown talent by featuring the work of Milford artist Taylor Merchant, a current student at NHIA.
Merchant began her love affair with art in high school, starting with drawing, though she continues to explore her creativity through painting these days. She considers her journey through painting a challenging, and a healing one. Though she also loves to paint abstract works, this month in the café you will see her more realistic, botanical pieces. Capturing color, and gesture, her coneflowers beckon to the imagination – a time capsule celebration of summer, as we head into fall.
We are proud to support the work of an emerging artist this month in the café – make sure you take a moment to enjoy her work while you sip something delicious.
