The practice of referring to such a blend as “English breakfast tea” appears to have originated not in England but America, as far back as Colonial times. Since we’ve been told that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, that makes this the most important cup (or two!) of the day.
Steep for 3-5 minutes in 205 degree water.
