It’s September, which means that there’s new art hanging on the café walls. This month, we’re featuring Meghan Chase, a local artist from Nashua. Her work includes a few different things, including ink on different substrates, like wood and fabric, paint on wood, and multimedia textures.
Meghan has a BFA in painting from the University of Hartford and has taught as an adjunct art professor at Manchester Community College. She has been featured in a long list of exhibitions including an open house this year at the Picker Building in Nashua, where her studio is located. She has also been a part of several juried exhibitions as well.
Her work centers around cityscapes. The color scheme of the work we’re showing is blues and browns, which goes really well on our walls, and it’s more geometric than other things we’ve shown.
It’s fun to see the different styles of artist that come through the café; Meghan’s work is a little more structured in the painting format than others we have shown.
You can see her work all month in the café lounge.
