Dreams
This month the café walls are decorated with beautiful artwork by Jenna Odhner. Working with a variety of mediums including watercolors, acrylics, oils, colored inks, colored pencils and gouache, her work is incredibly detailed, layered with intricate patterns and symbols.
Receiving her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in 2012, Jenna studied at the Pacific Northwest College of Art in Portland, Oregon. Her world travels and time spent living in Nepal, India, California, Europe, and Hawaii serve as inspirations for her creative works. She is also deeply interested in the concept of sacred geometry and ancient symbolism. In fact, she was so moved by the subject of symmetry that she spent her entire senior year studying Symmetry and Mandalas for her Senior Thesis Paper. The concept that the pattern of the Mandala is represented all across the universe, from the cosmos, to a fingerprint, to a snowflake provides great inspiration for Jenna.
Jenna hopes to teach art at a Waldorf school someday and bring the enchantment of ancient wisdom to her lessons. When she is not conceptualizing ideas or composing new artwork, she enjoys working outside whenever she can. A constant seeker, Jenna will never tire of learning from the inner-workings of the universe.
